NOX AND AGUSTÍN TAPIA RENEW THEIR CONTRACT UNTIL 2026
This morning, NOX and Agustín Tapia agreed to extend the contract between them. As such, Agustín Tapia and NOX plan to continue working together until at least 2026, with the clear intention of making the player from Catamarca a face of the brand in the near future. The relationship between Agustín Tapia and NOX began in 2017, when the World Padel Tour official sponsor signed the young Argentinian star. At just 17 years of age, NOX helped the young player move to Spain and begin to compete professionally.
Since then, Tapia's rise has been meteoric; he reached the quarter-finals of his very first tournament. And the best was yet to come. In 2019, the “Genius from Catamarca” was called to share the court with the two biggest padel players of all time: Juan Martín Díaz and Fernando Belasteguín. In September 2019, Agustín Tapia was declared champion of the Madrid Master, becoming the youngest player in the sport’s history to win a tournament and be named MVP in the final. In just 12 months, Agustín moved from 58th to 8th position in the ranking.
In the words of Jesús Ballvé, General Manager of NOX: “Agustín's evolution over the last two years has been spectacular. The renewal of his contract is, on the one hand, a recognition of both his sporting performance and the values he displays on and off the court, and, on the other, a fundamental step towards consolidating the future of the NOX brand in an increasingly international market. We have total faith in Agustín, and we’re sure that he will bring us great joy in the coming years.”
For his part, Agustín Tapia stated the following: “Ever since I first arrived at NOX, they have always treated me with great care, and ensured that I feel comfortable so far away from home. I hope to continue growing as a professional alongside this great band, that has done so much to bring me here to Spain, and that supported me through difficult periods, such as during my injury. It gives me great satisfaction to know that we'll be working together in the coming years to take NOX to the highest level."
