There is a couple that has been standing out in the last competitions of the World Padel Tour due to their amazing physical condition and level of play. This fact has been proven in the last two finals, which were successively won by our NOX girls: Gemma Triay and Lucia Sainz.

These girls, one from Menorca and the other from Barcelona, have reached three finals this year, taking victory in two of them. Yesterday was one of those days in which they managed, not without suffering, to shine in Zaragoza and win the final with a result of 6/4m 3/6 and 7/5. They played against Elisabet Amatriain and Patricia Llaguno, who played an intense third set with very long plays and fantastic points.
NOX’s couple started imposing their authority and got the first set, but their opponents reacted and won the second set with a 3/6 result. During the third set we enjoyed the best points of the final, showing that both parts could take victory. When everything seemed to indicate that the match would be decided in the tie break, our “Geniuses” pulled out their best moves and got the point that gave them the match without the need of a tie break.
Their victory was the perfect end to an Open in which our NOX girls didn’t go down for even one set until the final. They won the quarter-finals and showed their superiority when they got a 6/1-6/1 playing against Victoria Iglesias and Teresa Navarro. Later on, in the semi-finals, they defeated Catalina Tenorio and Marta Marrero, who are always difficult opponents, with a 3/6 5/7 result.
Individually, Gemma Triay has once again been named Best Player of the Final and received the Adeslas Trophey. In NOX we are very pleased with the performance of the Team NOX players at the end of the season.
