Nox reinforces its position as a leading racquet sports brand: launches its first Pickleball collection

Since our founding in 2008, at Nox we have shown great passion for racquet sports and have become an international reference, first in the paddle tennis market and later in the beach tennis market. Committed to innovation and leadership in the manufacture and distribution of sports equipment, we are pleased to announce that this February we have launched the first Nox Pickleball collection.

Pickleball is a sport that is making waves in the United States and gaining more and more followers in Europe. From the very beginning we saw in this growth a unique opportunity to connect with a new part of our audience. This step reinforces our goal of always being at the forefront and continuing to deliver excellence to sports enthusiasts.

Our collection: technology and design for the most demanding players

We are proud to present a wide range of products designed specifically for the practice of pickleball, designed for players of all levels, from beginners to professionals.

We have designed five high-end paddles: three of the Pro series and two of the Luxury series, all approved by USA Pickleball, meeting the strictest criteria for professional competition. But we are not stopping here, we are already working on the development of new models to accompany the players who join Team Nox pickleball.

We complement this offer with an exclusive line of backpacks and paddle bags adapted to the needs of pickleball players. Each piece has been created to offer a perfect combination of functionality, style and durability, ensuring that players can carry their equipment with maximum comfort.

In addition, our collection includes three models of shoes that have been designed not only to meet the demands of pickleball, but also to ensure optimal foot care during the sport. These shoes have been clinically certified by Marta Rueda, an eminent sports podiatrist from the prestigious Martín Rueda Clinic. This medical endorsement guarantees that our shoes offer exceptional support, stability and comfort, allowing players to enjoy the game with complete confidence.

First Nox Pickleball Ambassadors

In this exciting chapter for the brand, we welcome the first players who will represent the brand, playing a fundamental role in the development of future pickleball collections:

Jhonnatan Medina Álvarez.

Medina had a brilliant career as a tennis player, being especially outstanding in his junior stage: he reached a position among the best 30 players in the world circuit and participated in all the Grand Slams, besides becoming the best player in Venezuela in all the lower categories. In his professional career he reached the 400th position in the ATP ranking, represented Venezuela for several years in the Davis Cup, completed Olympic cycles in 2003 and 2007, and competed in the Pan American Games. After retiring from the professional tennis circuit, he became a coach for 8 years and was a Division 1 college coach for 4 years.

After the COVID-19 pandemic, driven by his desire to return to top competition, Jhonnatan made the jump to pickleball. In his first year on the professional circuit, he reached the Top 3 of the APP in singles, being crowned champion of the Atlanta tournament. This year he has worked hard on improving his game in doubles and mixed doubles and, as a Nox player in 2025, he will look to focus on the prestigious PPA tour and position himself among the best in multiple categories. He currently finishes the year in the Top 20 singles and celebrates a major achievement by winning the European Championships with Spain, a special pride considering his Spanish roots.

He would love to be one of the drivers of the growth of pickleball in Europe and especially in Spain: "I don't want people to think that pickleball is coming to take away space from padel, I think both sports will coexist because they have their similarities but at the same time particularities that make them unique".

Jhonnatan will not only be an ambassador of our brand, but will also play a key role in the development of Nox Pickleball products, testing and perfecting our blades with his experience and feedback. "It is an honor to be part of the Nox family and contribute to the development of products that represent the highest level of quality and innovation in pickleball. I'm excited to bring my expertise to create paddles that will push players of all levels and reinforce the growth of this incredible sport."

Judit Castillo

Judit Castillo is one of the most prominent figures in world pickleball and current number 10 on the PPA Singles circuit, the most prestigious in the world. With roots in professional tennis, Judit made the leap to pickleball with a determination that has allowed her to achieve important accomplishments in a very short time.

She has managed to shine in top level competitions, being a semifinalist in PPA tournaments and accumulating numerous international titles. Judit combines her competitive career with her passion for promoting the growth of pickleball, training players of all ages and levels through personalized coaching and events.

In addition to her prowess on the court, Judit stands out for her ability to connect with the public and her deep technical knowledge of the sport, characteristics that make her a key part of Team Nox. With her contribution, we seek to perfect our product line and reinforce our commitment to excellence in every detail. Since the beginning of the year we have had her as a footwear ambassador and from March she will use the full range of Nox products for the practice of pickleball.
