Historic weekend for NOX: two world number ones and a young duo that augurs a great future for Team Nox

The date of November 26th, 2023, will remain engraved as one of the most emotional in the history of the increasingly powerful Team Nox. The closing of a dreamlike week that denotes once again the good work carried out by the players of the brand throughout the season both in padel and beach tennis, reflected in a host of titles and awards collected in a more than brilliant season.

The dream began with the victory of Agustin Tapia in the semifinals of the WPT Mexico Open that catapulted the star of Team Nox for the second time in his career to number 1. A match that mathematically assured him the leadership of the World Padel Tour ranking in 2023. A success complemented by the couple that was waiting for him on the other side of the net in the final played on center court at the Gimnasio Olimpico Juan de la Barrera (Mexico City).

The very young Tino Libaak and Leo Augsburger, as they did at the La Rioja Open, turned the final draw of the tournament prior to the Barcelona Master Final 2023 upside down. Overflowing with talent and maximum complicity, they showed match after match that they have more than enough level to beat the biggest players on the circuit. Two players who, in addition to belonging to Team Nox, currently reside and train at the Nox Future Academy, the high performance academy launched by NOX at the beginning of this year.

Their well-deserved pass to the final, after beating the Superpibes in the tie break of the third set of a heart-stopping match, brought another great news for Leo: his qualification as an alternate for the Master Final of what will be the last season of the World Padel Tour. Last sunday, they again brought out their best weapons this time against the seeded players of the tournament, but the Mozart from Catamarca came to the event eager to celebrate his recent debut as number 1.

In addition to the 6-4 6-2 victory that led Tapia to his eleventh title of the season, we added one more joy, this time in beach tennis. Nicolas Gianotti won the ITF BT 400 in Viamão, Brazil. In this brilliant way he made use of his status as leader of the ITF Beach Tennis World Tour ranking, which he has held since last June. After winning in a tight final he managed to lift what has been his ninth trophy so far this year and ensures, like Agustin Tapia, to finish 2023 as the best player in the world in his specialty. A perfect week in which NOX athletes culminate the year at the top of the two racquet sports in which it is present.
